I am doing my upfront medical for express entry after ITA. At the clinic, the nurse asked me to choose which category am I applying at -- family, study, visit or work. I am totally confused: clearly I am not in "family" category as I am applying under FSW and no family sponsorship, but the other three (study/visit/work) all sound like for the temporary resident visa. I stressed that this is for PR application but the nurse seemed to have no clues about immigration categories.

I wonder if anyone had similar experience? And does it make any difference to CIC? The clinic seemed to determine the items for test based on this choice.

It's work - EE is for people applying under economic categories, meaning they want to work in Canada. Family members may also be applying for PR, so that's the confusion.

Thanks. This is what I chose as well. My confusion comes from that "work" can also mean work permit which belongs to TRV. Especially study/visit/work happen to be the three major categories of TRV.

I FACED SAME SITUATION FOR UPFRONT MEDICAL AND I SELECTED VISITOR. SO IS IT OKAY ?

THANKS....

AT THE END MEDICAL IS MEDICAL IT HAS NOTHING TO WITH STATUS. BECAUSE WE CAN USE SAME MEDICAL FOR STUDENT, WORK, VISIT AND PR APPLICATION UNLESS IT IS LESS THAN 12 MONTHS OLD RIGHT?
