Which NOC code for my job experience

Hi All,

Problem: I'm not able to decide between NOC 2173 and 2172.

I have received ITA and preparing to submit my e-apr application. I have got reference letter for my employer stating the job title as Software engineer and job roles as follows:

Report development
ETL development/maintenance
SQL development
Data analysis
Business analysis

Now as per reference letter my job title falls under NOC 2173 but job roles fall partly in line with NOC 2172 although not completely. What is the suitable NOC code for me ? Anyone please help.

Go with the NOC with which your Job duties are matching. Job title doesn't matter.

Definitely follow duties, not job title.
