I moved to California for a temporary stay on the 31st January 2019 and I arrived in the evening. I'm not sure which month I should put for my personal history entry. To put that I was there from January seems incorrect as I was barely there for a few hours of that month.

I left California in July, before the 31st. So if I put for this entry that I was there from January to July, the system assumes I was there for all of January and all of July (which I wasn't) and therefore considers that I was in the USA for 6 months or over (which I wasn't) and therefore requires me to submit a police certificate.

It would be difficult for me to get a police certificate so I'm not sure what the best approach here is. I know the rule for police certificates is 6months+ but I don't meet that threshold (although I was close).

Given that there is no option to include a date/day in this section, I'm guessing this is an approximate history. In which case I would be fine putting February.

Advice appreciated.

Thank you.

Put whatever dates that was stamped on your passport.

Not sure if this is correct but PCC requirement is calculated based on your address history not travel history.
