Dear All,

Please advise, Which is better way to pay, Via Credit card or Demand draft to CIC ?

Or any other means to pay CIC fees ?

Dears,

Please update urgently

Both methods of payment have risks.

Credit card
Pros: Fast and you know when the fee got deducted.
Cons: If you lose your card or if it expires CIC wont be able to deduct the fee and your applications could be delayed or refused (depending the stage) also sometimes there are problems with international cards you have to make sure to call your bank so they can authorize any foreign transaction.

DD:
Pros: Fees are deducted you dont have to worry about the check being rejected.
Cons: it expires depending on the bank from 4 to 6 up to 12 months, make sure the expiration dates.

Online through credit card. That way you don't have to worry about lost credit card or worry that it will be declined. You get a pdf file you print and send to CIC.

Not true. One cannot pay online. The credit card has to be active on the day CIC processes the payment, which can be upto 6 months after sending the application. In those 6 months, a lot can happen to the credit card including sudden deactivation by the bank for any number of reasons. DD is the safest method if issued correctly.
