Hi I have my bachelors in Biology side(4YR Degree), and 4 yrs of work experience in INDIA and MS in computer science in usa and 4 yrs of IT experience in US. As you already know IT is closed for canada immigration as SKILLED PROFESSIONAL. SInce I have BS and 4 yrs of managerial exp, I am qualified in 0811, production managers.
I am planning to start the process of canada immigration. Are my chances of getting PR dimish because of I am applying in Bio stream, even though My current occupation is software engg? The PR field I am looking for(bio) has to match my current occupation(IT)?? what exactly PR look for?? Can I show my bachelors only and skip MS? is that possible?? please help me since I am planning to start process in a week.

My advise is to go to the CIC website. You can apply for 0811 if the duties you performed in IT match that of production manager. And you can show your masters as that will earn you max points for edu (provided u did 17 yrs edu). What do you mean you are starting the process next week? Have you already got IELTS?
Mind you the global cap is nearly reached (if not already) and any application sent afterwards will be returned. The next round of applications will start in July, so I will urge you to get all your docs ready, IELTS, and make sure you get a reference letter which will show that you performed the duties of a production manager. And please do some digging yourself. All the best!
BTW, I hope 0811will be on the next list.

It does not match IT...that is what I need my experience in India after Bachelors is in Natural resource management. where as my current exp in usa is in IT. But I want to go for canada immigration in 0811 which is Production manager (Not in IT) in Natural resource mgmt. Will that be a problem? My Current job duties have to match with the field (NOC list which I am applying)?? OR in last 10 yrs I need to have 1 yr of experience in a field for which I am applying? Because I am trying to get into Immigration in bio field/natural resources, Will they ask me: "Your work experience for which you are planning to get PR is in Natural resources, But currently you are working as IT software engg, why?" some thing like that?
