Hi there,

I am currently 1 month employed under NOC 6211, (which i believe is level B as a) retail trade supervisor for a year contract. Prior to that i was working in the same company under (NOC level C) for abt 16 months. Can i apply as a skilled worker and if yes under what category?

Any input is greatly appreciated...

regards

hi Merle girl,

I think FSW1 is for the applicant who has got minimum 12 months of continous work experience in any NOC category.

If you are really having the 12 months continous experience in the NOC category. I think u are eligible for FSW.

Cheers,
Harri

If you have enough points for FSW and at least one year continuous skilled work experience in the past, doesn't have to be in Canada, then you can apply now under category 3, that is for people who have been working or studying in Canada for 12 or more months.

If you don't have a one year continuous skilled work experience in the past, you will have to wait until you have been doing your B skill level job for one year.

Categories are explained here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp
