I have a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Technical University. But soon after graduating, I joined a local web and mobile applications developing firm and have been working there for more than 3 years as a Senior Web/Mobile Applications Developer. What is the best possible way for me to immigrate to Canada as a permanent resident. I also have 7.5 overall band score in IELTS (R: 8.0; L: 8.5; W:6.5; S:7.5).

Start by seeing what score you get, 470 plus and you might qualify for Express entry , less than then maybe the PNP programs

Alternatively you could go the study permit route for a post grad or a masters , followed by a PGWP to get Canadian work experience followed by PR application off that but that not only is a big financial investment it could also take a few years, 4-5 maybe.

Chances of getting a job offer with a sponsored LMIA are remote from outside Canada unless have unique skills not readily available

Thanks for your response, but due to lower band score in IELTS writing, my CRS is only 408. :(
If I may ask, what province is the most suitable to apply to?
Will the difference in my education background and my current line of work impact my chances to immigrate?

You can retake the IELTS to boost your score, or alternatively, ask for a remark of your Writing score.

Anywhere except for BC, which has a difficult PNP process. Most provinces favor IT professionals. You will have to check for yourself which ones are open, or hire an immigration consultant to look it up for you. I strongly suggest going DIY. You just have to make the effort to research and read.

No.
