Whether to apply for post graduate work permit or Spousal work permit?

Hi..

I need your help.I am Krishna Thakkar. I came to Canada in January 2017 on a student visa for a 1-year program. After coming here, I married to my boyfriend as per Candian Marriage laws. He recently got his Open work permit till 2020. I have completed my program in August 2017. Now I am confused whether to apply for my post-graduation work permit or Spousal work Permit? If I apply for post grad work permit, I will get a work permit just for 1 year. However, If I can apply for a spousal work permit directly then I can get work permit till 2020. My preference is to apply for the direct spousal open work permit now. But I do not know whether I can be eligible for it or not? Do they give spousal open work permit if you have come on a student visa and then got married here? Please help me.

Yes, he is having B category job in Nationa occupation matrix since 5 months.
