Where to send the application??

I don't know if it is just me or is anyone else having a hard time understanding where to actually send the application form? It seems to me that I have to first send it to Mississauga and then it gets sent to the next place - I however am responsible to designate where the application is to go.

I am sponsoring my husband who is a US citizen - he is in Seattle Washington and I am in BC Canada - and we are applying "outland".

Any help would be appreciated!!! ???

Hi momma!

Yes it can be confusing indeed...but anyway, here's what you need to do:

1. On IMM0008ENU_2D.pdf, under "Application Details", you'll see question 4 "Immigration Office requested for processing this application. Put "CPP-Ottawa".

2. HOWEVER (very important!) once you're done filling out all the forms and compiling all the relationship evidence, package and address the whole thing to:

Sponsorship (Spousal) (make sure you write this on the envelope)
Case Processing Centre ─ Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, Ontario
L5A 4N6


What's gonna happen is: CPC-M will assess your sponsor's eligibility to sponsor you. Once it's done, they themselves will forward the application to Ottawa, where your immigration application will be processed.

I'm not sponsoring an American, so let's wait till other members confirm everything that I've said. (I'm very sure that I've given you the correct information though)

Hey!

If you are applying outland, you are sending your application to mississauga. Then once they have approved the first stage ( sponsorship) then then send it to your visa office. In your case you can put Buffalo, as your husband is from the US.
Buffalo office is actually closed (a few months ago) so it looks like the files are being sent first to CPC Ottawa, but for now it seems like you should keep on putting Buffalo. Or CPC Ottawa - as they gather US applicants.

Just to clarify, that means either putting Buffalo or CPP-Ottawa on IMM0008ENU_2D.pdf right?
