Hi everyone,

This isn't really a settlement issue but since I recently arrived in Toronto, I am not sure where I can get affordable suits/men office clothes, with large choice in sizes (length of arms, neck etc..). So a kind of specialised shop.

I used to live in Tokyo where we had a shop called The Suit Company; you could get all shirts/pants /jackets sizes, great quality, for very reasonable price (around 70 dollars for a shirt).

Would there be a similar shop in Toronto by chance? If you have a good address to recommend, I'd be happy to hear from it too.

Thanks
Matt

There are many stores that stock what you are looking for. The price is deciding factor. Search the Internet for stores that also offer an online service to compare prices.

Thanks Zardoz, I'll check this.

Steaky, yes I'm familiar with Uniqlo thanks, most my casual clothes come from there and it's great.. However although I haven't bought office clothes there, I believe they also work by standard sizes (M, L etc..) and will have for each of them a corresponding chest, neck, sleeves size, so it is kind of standard size.

This is the reason why in Japan, many people go to The Suit Company since they have a lot more sizes, for instance M size but longer sleeves etc.. it is not tailored made but definitely better than standard sizes.

I'm not sure what shop offers this kind of service in Toronto. If anyone knows, happy to hear about it!

Always, H&M and top shop. Think Moore's may offer more sizes but also not as modern in terms of cuts. Very few industries actually require suits in Canada,

Maybe able to get some stuff on sale at brooks brothers. There is also a department store like the Bay, Banana Republic, Nordstroms and Nordstrom rack.

Thank you @canuck78 for the tips, I didn't know some of these shops and will check them out too.

My main challenge is to find sizes I can wear (I have a large neck). I used to have my suits tailor made, but now would rather go to H&M or Zara if I can find the right size. Will visit them soon, with hope!

Try Toms Place (2 locations) and Indochino (custom made suits at prices comparable to off-the-rack).
