Hello!

A bit of our background:
I'm from Azerbaijan and my fiance is Canadian. He is based in the USA (owns house there but doesn't hold any permanent residence), I'm currently in Azerbaijan. Both of us frequently travel so we find a way to meet somewhere in the middle (normally, in Turkey or the UK).

Problem:
We decided to get married and move to Canada to start new life together there. Now we need to understand what would be the best way for us to get married - both of us are super-busy with the workload and prefer to have a quick arrangement.

Question:
Shall we get married in Canada or other countries/locations are ok from the immigration prospective? (I will use this marriage certificate as a basis for my application to Canadian Permanent Residence).

Thanks in advance,

What I would recommend is that you read all the requirements
to apply for sponsorship under family class, as a spouse of a Canadian,
You will find all the requirements, and that will give you an idea of what is best,
in order to have an easy process in your application.

For example, for immigration is very important that yours families are present in the wedding,
therefore, a wedding in Turkey or London for example would be a little difficult for your families
to attend.
Those are the little details that you need to consider before deciding where you would marry.
You need to study all the requirements,
for example where are going to be the honeymoon, etc..... as those details are important for immigration.

I wish you both all the luck in your new life ahead.

Hi

It doesn't matter where you get married, as long as the marriage is legal in the country where it was performed and doesn't contradict any of Canada's marriage laws (child bride, polygamy, close relative etc.). CIC will not treat an Azerbaijani wedding certificate any differently than they would a Canadian wedding certificate.
