My wife and I are interested in moving to Canada to be near our only daughter and grand kids. We would like to use (what I heard about) the 2 year Visa stay application. I have a million questions but the main 2 are: (we are both British and retired early 60 and 63)
1. Where do I start the application?
2. What, (rough guide) can I expect Health Insurance premiums to be? Being from the UK we do not have to pay for Health insurance so not too familiar with this process. I would like to know so we can work out finances.

Thank you

1. You are thinking of the Supervisa. It is your daughter that starts the application. See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/supervisa.asp
2. You would have to check around for insurance quotes. Google supervisa health insurance to see what sort of quotes come up.

Also keep in mind that the majority of super visa health care insurance only covers emergency care - you will have to pay for regular appointments and check-ups out of our own pocket. It is possible to get additional coverage for non-emergency care, but obviously at significantly higher premiums.

Since you will be visitors in Canada, you will not be covered in any way under Canada's health care insurance program.
