When to write IELTS TEST

Hi

I am on work permit since October 2013 and hopefully I will apply for PR by November 2014. I wanted to know when should I write the IELTS test for that? It should be just before when I apply for PR or I can write the test anytime after my post grad work permit.

Thanks for your reply. But I have read somewhere that they want to test your English after your work permit. Is it true? So it means I should write the test after my one year work permit.

You can take your test anytime you want - and also, I've never heard of "they" wanting to test your English after your WP so I would say it's not true
