Hi, applying inland for American spouse. Do we apply for fbi check when submitting the initial PR package or when we are asked for it during the PR process? I think I read the PC is only valid for 6 months?

U need to submit it together with your initial application.

Also, to get fingerprints done, do we go to any police station? Do they fill out the form or do we?

He's an American, so we're doing the FBI clearance. For "country of residence" do we put Canada or the US?
You put where he lives currently. If in canada then its canada

We ended up putting both Canada and the US since it let us put multiple countries. I hope that doesn't cause an issue!
Usually people have only one place of residence.... if he is living here and it is inland it sHould be canada...

The form didn't specific if by residence they meant where he is currently living or where has a legal residence. It did have the option of adding multiple countries so we both Canada and the US because of the ambiguity of the question.

Per the definition of ircc :
Country of residence
The country a person is living in. A person’s country of residence may be different from their country or countries of citizenship.

Yes but this was an fbi form so we weren't sure which definition because it didn't state.
