Does anyone know of anyone having issues with entering the country a while before the course is due to start?
Obviously the earlier you get there, the more likely they are going to question it but has anyone had any direct experience with questioning at immigration?
Basically would arriving 6/7 weeks before the course start date cause me any issues or would waiting a few more weeks really make much of a difference?

There was a story a while back about someone who tried to arrive 7-8 weeks in advance and was refused entry and told to return closer to the start of classes (immigration thought he was coming early to work illegally).

I would personally come no more than 4 weeks in advance. But the choice is obviously yours...

Why would you wana land 6 to 7 weeks ahead of schedule? Scylla is right about it being a problem at POE. But then it's not for sure they would ask you to revisit. BUt they may, so why to take any chances. Now, just for your info, when you land here 1 month ahead, you know that your expenses increase by a month as you will pay extra rent for a month as speculated in regards to program start date and so will the other expenses. Even if you have program to travel around, 2 or 3 weeks are good enough.
