Hi everyone! This is my first post.
Just a quick question as to the period beyond the residency requirement ; 1095 days to 1460 days
I landed in Canada and became a PR in February 2009. After everything was processed and I toured Canada for 2 weeks, I went back home to resume my job. From February 2009 to May 2011 I had made 4 more short trips for interviews. I finally got a job and moved in end May 2011 and since then only left the country for a few short trips. I've been employed by the same company since June 2011.
From my calculations I can apply for my citizenship in August 2014 after completing 1095 days of physical presence after taking out all the trips. So in my application packet, I suppose they want all info back to August 2010 when I had not permanently moved to Canada yet? I was also unemployed back in my previous country for that period August 2010 to May 2011 till I came here as I was wrapping up my and my family's life there and making the big permanent move.
I understand that I may get a RQ based on the A5 risk indicators as specified residencequestionnaire.wordpress. com / rq-risk-indicators. Is this true?
Anyone had similar experiences where you got your landing done, went back to your previous country to live for about 1 to 2 years and then finally moved and stayed on? How did/is your citizenship application going?
