i am just going to send off my application for PR. should i put a work permit application in with it or shall i send it after? i presume with perminant residant status you can work and live as normal without sending off a work permit application? just not too sure what way round to do it all? thanks mike

Include the open work permit in the same envelope as the PR application. They will process this when the sponsorship portion is approved and you recieve AIP (approval in priciple), first stage 8-9 months from now!

Are you applying inland? If yes then are you already on a work visa or visitor? If you are working you need to send in an OWP with PR and will be able to stay working in that job until you get AIP. If your visa runs out before AIP that is ok as you will be on implied status. For visitor I am not totally sure but I think you would have to extend it, and you can apply for OPW with PR as well.

yes i am on visitors visa at the moment so will need to extend this.... should i still send in an open work permit with my p r application?

If you apply inland and you include the open work permit application, your visitor's status is extended until you receive first stage approval and the work permit. You will be on implied status.

Yes send in OWP with PR :)

so this means i will not have to send off an extention for my visitors visa? if i send a work permit application with my p r application? do i have to do both?
