When should I take IELTS Exam ?

I am residing in India. I have applied for immigration to Canada, thro' a Consultancy WWICS. I received my CHC file No. during Feb. '06. I am yet to submit my IELTS score. I have come to know that my processing will be completed by 2010. Will my IELTS score become invalid by this time. Please advice.
