When should I get the medical exam? Is this how the Sponsorship process works?

First off, let me state that I am a US citizen who wants to immigrate to Quebec to start a life with my long-term boyfriend.

Me and my fiancee plan on getting Married in July. I would like to send off my application for PR ASAP (as well as his application to sponsor me) and was wondering if it would be wise to get my medical exam in Montreal in July while I'm there or would it just be better to get it done in Saint Louis, MO before I visit? I have already sent in the papers to get my Finger print card and FBI clearance. I want to have all of the documents that I will need in order to get the process started so I can get into school as soon as possible.

Call the DMP in Saint Louis and also the one in Montreal, and find out which one is cheaper.

Also, I'm pretty sure that if you need follow-up work, you need to go to the same DMP, so keep that in mind. Though if you visit frequently, that may not be too much of an issue even with the Montreal one.
