Does anybody know how long it will take after CIC started processing the sponsor-part of the application to get SA?

More helpful from Quebec applicants since the undertaking part is done separately with MICC/CSQ.

Right now, it's taking 57 days from receipt of the app to get SA. There is no other timeline to go by.

Ah, I hadn't realized you applied inland. You should expect SA 16 months after CIC received your app.

Yes I get that, but ECAS shows that they have started processing the application of the sponsor and i was wondering how long SA takes after they started the actual processing, which in a lot of cases took over a year.

It doesn't matter when ECAS changes to In Process. That is a manual update done by a person. Some of them update regularly and some don't. Some applicants are in process for 6 months, some for 9 months, some for 13 months etc.

Look for SA around the 16 month mark, regardless of when your app went In Process. That might be a useless timeline to you but it is what it is.

How about studying the spreadsheet a little and coming up with an answer yourself. Your asking a question in which you will only receive an ambiguous response. It's like me asking if someone can tell when I'm going to get pregnant if I've been trying for 2 years and I'm 41.... It's a "WTF" question, with eye rolling "WTFK" answer.

well the thing is, i tried to find a spreadsheet for quebec inland apps, but I cannot find one and I thought maybe someone here had gone through the process as well. Just curious and thankful for all answers, didnt want to insult anybody sorry if i did...

Quebec inland or any other province inland is still ALL processed in the same place. The current timeline for inland applicants is roughly 16 months from application submitted to AIP or SA, which are effectively, although not exactly the same thing. They are currently working on applications from sometime in January 2014, if that gives you any indication of where they are at ...

You have a long wait ahead of you, so I suggest you sit back, find a good book (avid reader? A library would be more effective then) and relax for a while.
