When do I need to do my medical examination?

I am in the middle of the process of filling in the application form at the moment.

Book the appointment now but do it as close to application submission as possible. You will have to land before they expire (1 year later) so this gives you maximum time. Especially if your application takes longer than the ‘six months’ they aim for.

I thought CIC will let me know when to take a medical exam. Is it ok to get it anytimr?
