I sent my wife's application ( Family Class - Sponsorship ) on August 7 and it was received by M. Penny.

Question - base on experience, how long did it take you to get your application number ( or any feedback ) from CPC?

You get it with AOR1 - Acknowledgement of Receipt 1. Takes anywhere from 4 to 16 weeks.
