I was under Live-in Caregiver Program when I first entered Canada. When can I exactly complete my eligibility requirements to apply for Citizenship?

Date arrived in Canada as Live-in caregiver: February 26, 2009 (accumulated 2 months outside Canada)
Date granted Permanent Residence: May 29, 2015
Apply for Citizenship:?

Thanks everyone.

1. Under the present rules, if you don't leave Canada, May 30 2019.
2. If when changes 3/5 AND previous work permit status counted, about Oct 30, 2017.

Under the 4/6 rule, I agree with PMM.

If the 3/5 (Bill C-6) rule passes in its current form, then you will be eligible on May 29, 2017, assuming you remain in Canada until then, and that the two months outside Canada were before you became a PR.

But it is always safer to have two or three extra months in the bank to make it easier to prove to CIC that you meet the criteria.

Thank you PMM. You have been so helpful to me since the day I registered an account here including when you answered all my frustrations when I long awaited my PR approval. Time indeed flies so fast.

Keep up the good work answering queries and sharing some tips. Kudos to you! If I know you personally, I will invite you for a tea or coffee? But I am guessing you are from Vancouver.
