Hello All,

Asking for your help and opinion this. I and my spouse are both applying as primary sponsors for our own mothers and both co-signing for our mother in-laws. We both got invitation and have sufficient income for all 4 people (I, my spouse, mu mother and her mother).

How should I fill out the financial evaluation form in this case?

1. On both application - should we go with family size - 3 (I, Spouse, my mother)

2. On both application - Should we go with family size - 4 (I, Spouse, My mother, her mother)

3. On both application - should we go with family size - 3 (I, Spouse, my mother) and add an explanation letter indicating that our total family size will 4 and my spouse is applying for her mother simultaneously

4. On the financial evaluation form - Question number - 3.B.iv - should I add "1" for my mother in law - since I am going to co-sign for her and that is not yet in effect?

5. My own income is sufficient for 3 (I, Spouse and my mother).
In this case, Should I rather sponsor my mother just myself and not add my spouse as a co-signor?

6. Can I be a primary sponsor on my mother's application and co-signor on my my mother in-law's application simultaneously?

Thank you so much for reading my questions and trying to answer them. Looking forward to hear your thoughts and opinion on this. thanks a million to this forum and members.

Regards,

Mustafa

Family size is 4 for both of you if you are co-signiing for each other. Assume both fathers are deceased or parents are divorced.

In the family size question...

4 questions for Primary sponsor:

1. How many person Did you sponsor (already in effect)
2. How many person did you sponsor (not yet in effect)
3. How many did you co-sign
(already in effect)
4. How many did you co-sign
(Not yet in effect)

And same 4 questions for co-signor

1. How many person Did you sponsor (already in effect)
2. How many person did you sponsor (not yet in effect)
3. How many did you co-sign
(already in effect)
4. How many did you co-sign
(Not yet in effect)

Hi Mustafa,
Thank you for the post. I am in a similar situation with you. I know it might be too late to answer your question, but I would put 0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 1 to your 8 questions mentioned above.

May I ask how did you and your spouse fill out the interest to sponsor form? There are 2 questions related to calculating family members and people you want to sponsor. But there isn't any separated fields for "not yet in effects" and "already in effects". That makes me confused. Those 2 questions are:

- How many family members are currently in your family unit? (Includes you, your spouse, and person you or your co-signer may have sponsored in the past and still financially responsible.)

- How many family members you want to sponsor? (You can only sponsor your parents, you cannot sponsor your parents in-law.)

Should both of us put 2, and 1 to the above questions? It's tricky right?

Thank you in advance!
