Hi,

I was going through another post & it seems proof of funds is not required for CEC. Is it true? & if so, will it still be a case for Ontario provincial nomination?

I will submit a new profile next week & I will then be eligible for both CEC & FSW, with score in range of 436-447 (thus ONIP will be required). Which one should I opt for - CEC or FSW? I am arranging GIFTs from spouse & parents, however would still avoid providing proof of funds, if possible.

PoF of not required if you are a LMIA applicant, for all else it is required.

I'm still confused. CIC website mentions this:
Unless you are currently authorized to work in Canada and have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada, or you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada.

Hence, same questions to experts:
- Does it mean that we don't need proof of funds, if applying under CEC?
- If so, what will be the case for OINP?

Thanks! So, should I make myself ineligible for FSW, by entering low proof of funds; so that I'm considered only for CEC? Is there any drawback, if I do so?

Thanks! Just to ensure that we are on same page - I'm currently NOT in Canada & don't have any job offer or valid work permit right now.
