When an application is returned do u received and email notification

My application was received on November 30th 2017 and deep down I feel like I made a mistake. How long after sending in your application does it get returned for mistakes?

No, you will not receive any type of notification. You will only find out when you receive it in your mailbox.

The application is placed in the mail back to you around the same time you would expect to receive your AOR. When people who have applied around the same time as you start to receive their AOR, if you don't get yours, that's when you should start looking for the app in the mailbox. It can take up to a couple weeks after that to physically show up.

If 8 weeks has passed you can contact ircc by phone and see if they have returned it or not

I have read of people receiving emails that their app was being returned, back in March of 2017 when I was keeping an eye out for apps being returned because I was concerned mine may be sent back.


Most of the time (almost all the time) there is no email.

I held the same feelings as you. I applied Nov 10th and as the days passed, I kept thinking about what I did wrong or if I included this or that. I doubled checked my photocopied app so many times just to ease my mind.
However, I just received AOR1 on Jan5th.
I had called cic on Jan 4th in regards about it and some questions. And the agent told me they were just processing end of October (which his timeline maybe wasn't updated) because he told me to wait a couple more weeks.
Don't get discouraged or worried, it will come.
