Dear users, seniros

we have got our PR visa to Canada. We are trying to move to Toronto soon. So could please make us clear in some issues regarding our immigration.

1. If we need to bring our excess money later from Nepal than do we have to pay any tax there or not? Or do we have any type of complication to bring more money next time to Canada or not ?

2. Do we have to show any sort of proof about our immunization / Vaccination or not necessary?

3. If we need to bring jewelery (personal uses) (Gold ) later from Nepal (and if we have not declared the goods to follow list ) than do we have to pay tax or not?

4. Do we have to buy health insurance for initial 3 months prior to come there or we can manage that after arriving there?

5. What documents (Papers) should we prepare for the immigration purpose at the entry port?

6. Should we carry photos too with us? If yes, what is the measurement of the photos?

I am sorry for bothering you with lots of queries.

Thank you in advance.
Regards Dinesh

1. If we need to bring our excess money later from Nepal than do we have to pay any tax there or not? Or do we have any type of complication to bring more money next time to Canada or not ?

NOT taxed. Excess money means it should be reasonable amount. If it exceeds to $ 10,000/ per person it should be declared at the Canada Customs.

2. Do we have to show any sort of proof about our immunization / Vaccination or not necessary?

NO NEED

3. If we need to bring jewelry (personal uses) (Gold ) later from Nepal (and if we have not declared the goods to follow list ) than do we have to pay tax or not?

NOT required for a reasonable quantity. Means a woman's normal wear weighing approx200-300 grams of gold or little more.

4. Do we have to buy health insurance for initial 3 months prior to come there or we can manage that after arriving there?

Preferably better to take insurance. If you bring some medication for normal illness such as head ache fever, cold, cough, stomach upset, allergy etc..or any on- going routine medicines as prescribed by your doctor (Ex: medicine for BP, Diabetes, Asthma etc ) for three - four months, you can manage without insurance.

5. What documents (Papers) should we prepare for the immigration purpose at the entry port?

You should have Passport and original COPR. Also the proof of funds and B4/B4A forms if you bring some costly itmems, goods to follo by cargo shipment..

6. Should we carry photos too with us? If yes, what is the measurement of the photos?

Better to keep few extra copies of the same specification photo you submitted to CIC. But usually not required.

Thank you very much for your kind response. Its really appreciated. Thank you once again. Dinesh

1. If we need to bring our excess money later from Nepal than do we have to pay any tax there or not? Or do we have any type of complication to bring more money next time to Canada or not ?
Ans. It will not be taxed but if you are planning to bring cash which is more than 10000 CAD then they will only and might ask for source of funds for which you can take the copy of bank statements to be on safer side
2. Do we have to show any sort of proof about our immunization / Vaccination or not necessary?
Ans. No
3. If we need to bring jewelery (personal uses) (Gold ) later from Nepal (and if we have not declared the goods to follow list ) than do we have to pay tax or not?
Ans. No tax or duty, but declare it.
4. Do we have to buy health insurance for initial 3 months prior to come there or we can manage that after arriving there?
Ans. Yes, it depends upon the province as you said you coming to Toronto so its in Ontario province and the Health Card get activated only after 3 months so better buy an insurance for 3 months to be safe.
5. What documents (Papers) should we prepare for the immigration purpose at the entry port?
Ans. Carry, COPR, Proof of funds and a note pad with a pen to note any instruction that you might want & that is it.
6. Should we carry photos too with us? If yes, what is the measurement of the photos?
Ans. No they are not required.
I am sorry for bothering you with lots of queries.

Thank you in advance.
