Hello Beautiful People,

I had submitted my application some time back and just received a conformation from CIC stating that "your application has received a positive final determination of eligibility"

Does this mean that i have a PER or AOR? and now i have to wait for a case officer ? I have not submitted my police clearance certificates in my original application. Should i wait till i get a case officer, how will i know i have a case officer appointed ? When should i get my police clearance certificates ready. I know it will expire after 6 months... should i wait for another month or should i get it ready and send it to CIC ?

Regards,

Dear 2good,

The line you have posted belongs to PER letter( positive eligibility review ). Your next step will be AOR and will come via email. Start the process to get your police clearance certificates as vo will ask for them soon.

I sent the pcc's without being asked for them. You wont come to know when case officer is allocated.

Thank you.

Will start my PCC applications.

Cheers !!!

hi good2btrue,

i see u have same NOC 7242 as mine............may i know what is ur job, i work as instrumentation technician.......although instrument is in a different NOC but i am trying my luck.......how about u.....by the way....after PER.....ur file will be sent to a visa office for processing here begins the real assessment for ur application some visa offices send 2nd AOR some dont like london visa office they directly send Medicals request if they approve or ,ALLAH forbid, refusal letter ......the duration also varies from visa office to another as well....i got my per on 24th feb still no reply from vo.....

good luck to all of us.

Hello Ramzy2277,

I have moved into a different role now, which is into project management. But i was trained as an electronic mechanic (3 years course) which involved electrical and electronics work. After that I worked full time for over 2 1/2 (full time) years as a technician for electrical/electronics department and then did some part time work as an electrical contractor for 1 year (0.5 full year equivalent). So in total i have over 3+3 years of full time exposure to 7242 activities after my 10th grade.

Looks like i have enough time to prepare my PCC then, I will apply this week hopefully will get it before a month and by then would hopefully would have the AOR ready.

Cheers,
2good

thats great 2good2btrue.........i think the whole matter depend on what is written on ur job duties from ur employer.....the problem is that in my job descrition ,it only focuses on electronics side, such as PLC,SCADA,electronic, haudraulic and pneumatic guages and sensors....it doest mention electrical machines.....such motors, switchgear, transformer and lighting as it is on 7242 job duties.....although they refer to electronic control system and calibration of instruments......thats my concern......i am afraid the visa officer ....might not match my current duties to that of 7242 industrial electrician......what u think.......do u have any collegue or friends or even heard of some ppl who work in electronics applied under 7242 and got approved.......

regards.

Sorry Ramzy2277,

I don't know anyone who has applied under 7242. Though i have been trained as "electronic mechanic", my training record shows all areas including, electrical, motor wiring, AC, DC motors, wiring, lighting etc. And regarding my work experience, I also had a wide control system experience like PLC, CNC and temperature controllers etc, but i also had activities related to wiring, lighting, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance etc... I am not sure if this is sufficient for Visa Officer. But looking at the NOC7242 list and job tasks, i reckon i should be ok.

Moreover, Visa Officer can only go by what you have provided in the letters... and based on that they will compare it to the standard list. And it also depends on the case officer. I wish you all the best.

Cheers !!!
