whats my fault in this...????

Dear All,

Yesterday I had received a letter from CHC, New Delhi. They were asking details of foreign travel by me and my family members. They had send this letter by mail to me on 5th November 2009, but unfortunately it reached to me yesterday and it was mentioned there that, they want reply within 15 days (means upto 20th November 2009), but how can I send a response before 20th November 2009, as letter was received by me on 23rd November 2009, I don't think, there was any fault from my side.

So I had replied to CHC with following things:-

1). Covering letter, explaining all delays and necessary information about foreign travel
2). Foreign Travel Form
3). Envelope of the letter send by CHC, for showing and highlighting the stamp dates, which further explains the delay caused by our Postal system.

So whether all this will do, or they will close my file, as i fails to reply them within 15 days(till 20th November2009). But if they do so, what is the fault from my side.

u have done all the right things (as written in ur post). thus, there's nothing to worry. the way u wrote ur covering letter is perfect, that's what was needed. letters recd late is ok (culprit postal strikes/delays), but replying in correct manner, alongwith the right attachments, is the right thing.

so, just relax now friend. things will be ok with ur case.
