Hello all,

Hope all are well. I had applied for study visa and got the following grounds for refusal. I had overall 6 bands (R=5.5 L=5.5 W=6 S=6).

Grounds for refusal:

"Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications, previous studies, missing marksheets, academic record, level of establishment, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans."

I am diploma holder in Information Technology (IT) passed in 2013 and After that I have been working in IT company since 2013. I am 28 yrs old. I had fulfilled all the required documents suggested by my agent for Herzing College (Montreal). But don't know why my file is refused.

My qualification is listed below:

10th - 60% (2006)
12th - 60% (Arts) (2008)
Diploma (IT) - 62% (Batch 2009-2012, But completed in 2013 because of backlogs)
Backlogs - 07
Work Experience - 2012 to 2018 (till date)

Your marks are on the low side. I would re-write IELTS and achieve a score of at least 6 in each of the four categories to compensate.

The school you've picked is a private college with a poor reputation. You should pick a public college instead. IRCC may have concerns you aren't a genuine student since you've picked a bad school and may be using the student visa as a way to try to immigrate to Canada.

I'm sure your agent told you it's a good school. It's not - don't listen to him.
