Hallo everybody,

I hope you can help me. I´m applying online for a work permit. I have a question about the
document IMM1295E : "What type of work permit are you applying for?"
And I absolutely have no idea what type it is. I will volunteer at a wildlife refuge centre in canada, I'm 19 and finished school.
I wont recieve money there. So am I am applying for an open work permit or is it exemption from labour market opinion or
international experience Canada?
I hope you can help me, I´m very confused.

Unfortunately you don't qualify for an open work permit based on the information you have provided.

Although you are not being paid, your employer must still obtain an approved LMIA. Once your employer has obtained an approved LMIA, you can then apply for a closed work permit. So the first step is for your employer to obtain the LMIA.

There is also some chance you may qualify for an IEC (international experience) visa. But you'll have to provide more information for yourself - specifically where you are from.
