what to put if there is no Last name (mandatory field)

Hi All,

I have invite to apply for Canada.
My mom has only first name. So what shall i put in the name column as both first and last name is mandatory?

I have seen people using the following abbreviation if their last or first name is unknown.
LNU - Last Name Unknow
FNU - First Name Unknown

One of my friend whose first name was unknown used 'FNU' as his first name and 'FNU' also mentioned on his passport as his first name. Others may suggest what they did in similar scenario.
