What to expect from "A request for additional info"

I am in Canada and I applied for my PR sept 2018 through Canadian work experience . I applied with a supervisor position with a NOC B code. Problem is, I started the position on Aug 2018 and applied Sept 2018. I currently hold the position but I was supposed to hold the position for a year before applying which I didn't. I applied because the letter given by my employer didn't state my start date at that position
 
Now cic is requesting additional on the specific start date ,which my employer has given to me and it clearly states I started the position Aug 2018. Now that exposes the fact that I wasnt eligible at time.


I have this nagging feeling that if I submit that letter,it could make my situation bad. I dont know if my application will be rejected or if that can be overlooked. After being here for awhile, I cant honestly rely on there good nature. What can I do?
