What to expect after police certificates are provided - parents sponsorship

Hi there, I hope someone could help me to understand what else to expect. I am in the process of sponsoring my parents from Azerbaijan. I was approved as a sponsor, and the files were transferred to Ankara, Turkey in March 2012. Days ago I got a letter request from embassy to send embassy the police certificates for my parents. Sy my question is, what will be next (after I provide the papers)? Are medical exams mandatory and will be the next step? Or it could actually finalize without it? my parents are 56 and 58 years old.

What confused me was the letter from embassy saying "in order to finalize processing of the application, we need the [police certificates". does it mean, no medical exams expected? Hope did not confuse you!..

Yes the visa office need Police clearance to finalize the application. They may receive the medical examination request before issuance of visa, if the medicals are not yet done.

I am sponsoring my parents from Azerbaijan as well and the file was transferred to Ankara in December 2012. Did you get the police certificate for your parents ? Did your parents sent the certificates to the embassy in Ankara or somebody from police office did it ?

Sponsorazer,sorry i am just logging in and saw your question. AND, i saw your status update - seems you application has been completed and you parents finally got their visas. ver happy for you

Regadring my case - i still haven't heard from the embassy after we sent the police certificate back in Feb'13. And i am getting pretty worried. it seems that majority of people with the similar timelines as mine and yours got their visas already, or at least got medical requests and i heard nothing. what would you suggest? i know on the website it says processing time is ~50 months, but in fact it seems it is less than that. i want to send them an email but don't want to upset them, if you know what i mean, since it is still within those 51 months..
