What to do if you get married before you land...

My partner and I applied for Canada PR as common law partners and I was wondering if anyone could advise what do we need to do if we get married before we land in Canada? Our application is now at MEP stage ( IP1) , so just weighing on the possibilities and if it’s better to get married after we land in Canada OR before - and if before, at what are the required action items for specific stage of application.
