Hello all,

I am submitting my spousal sponsership forms for my spouse in Sri Lanka and have 2 questions:

1) I spoke to 3 CIC reps, 1st said no plastic folders at all, second one said i can use it, third one said it's not recommended but if it helps you, you can to organize it.
Now, how much do would they hate it ? Please see below how my folders look:

2) I have 230 pages of 2 column facebook chat logs...is it highly advised against providing that long..or better to keep it under 50? (If it's single column per page, it's around 700 pages)

We have only known each other for 6 months before getting married (It was arrange marriage - and did have marriage ceremony, and i visited her for 2 months)
so i thought to provide as much as possible to "proof our relationship".

Thanks for your help everyone!!!

Well, first of all I hope you have lots of other evidence such as photos together for your relationship proofs... because they are probably not going to read all your chat logs.

In the best case, they will see your 230 pages and think "yeah, that's a lot of communication". (And yes, best keep it under 50, choose the "best" parts where you discuss your future together, or your relationship, or your feelings... don't include the daily "good night" and "how are you" and "how was your day" sort of stuff)

But if that is the main part of your evidence, that's probably weak. Photos seem to be the best evidence, a picture is worth a thousand words.

any binders, folders, envelopes, tabs, ect that are sent with the application more likely than not will be thrown out. It has been reported that CIC takes the application and reorganizes it per their own specifications. No matter how organized the application is when it arrives, it will not stay that way during the processing. if you want to go through the hassle of all of that just to feel like you make it look pretty, go ahead. it really doesn't do much in regards to your approval. sending in the application organized and clipped per the checklists is all that's really necessary, so for some it's worth saving the time, energy and office supplies by making as simple as possible.

thanks for your prompt response! I will stick to just envelopes ;D

Never use folders it is on the guide paper. Ever use anything heavy. I sent alot of pictures. I pasted the pictures on the word pad and wrote dates and describe what the photo waas and i put two pictures per page. Printed and stape or use a paper holder and number the pages and put a foot note with ur spouse name and ur name.

I send registration photos, wedding photos (hindu) outind before marriage outing after marriage) i subtitled them and bold the titles and did it nicely.

I am kind of same situtation. U can only send them samples. So print the ones that will say ur real couples. like i printed the one where we talked liike couples like kiss and stuff then the serious one where we talked about our future and job in canada kind of thing.

send facebook, viber, skype, text messages but 4-5 pages of each is enough. I sent the flight ticket. I sent photos espcially intimate photos. I sent greetings carsds i received from him. I sent receipts of our marriage like we bought saree, jewels and what not. so u can those. hall receipts. when i was in sri lanka i printed the photos in a word pad sheet and brought to the registration officer and she tamped and signed but i printed the one she is present like the legal marriage part. you can ask ur spouse to do it if u have chance. they will charge few rupees. so what it is good to prove ur relationship is real.

put them in different envelopes. one for u one for ur spouse and one for supporting docs.

then put all three in one big envelope.

Print the social media conversation with dates and highlight them with yellow highlighter. print the phone bill and highlight ur spouse number and date and duration. like make it easy for them to see ur file because they also receive alot of them and do not have time and energy so make it easier and help them they will like it i guess.
