time posted on the CIC website is the time it takes CIC to process 80% of the applications... so maybe 20% are completed in 6 months, then 30% in 8 months, 40% in 12 months etc - until 80% of the applications have been completed... so it is not an "average" time to complete applications.

If the application is complete, includes a lot of evidence that the relationship is genuine, and the relationship doesn't have any 'red flags', then the processing will ordinarily be much faster. In addition, if they decide based on the strength of the application that no interview is required, that saves a lot of processing time.

Believe me I share the same feeling.

It's so stressful but i don't think the administration in Canada knows (or cares) the difference in time between the various visa offices.

I think we should raise the issue to our local parliament member but how many people you think we can gather to do something constructive?
