Hi, I'm applying for citizenship online.
(1) One of the information I need to input is my "temporary resident status", for which I can only select from 4 category 'Visitor', 'Temporary Foreign Worker', 'International Student' and 'Temporary Resident Permit Holder'. Here's the timeline:
(2) I came in May 2020 as visitor with ETA. After arrival I applied for PR with spousal sponsorship.
While waiting, I got my visitor record extended to Aug 2021. No further extension was sought as I got my Open Work Permit in Mar 2021 (which is valid through Mar 2023).
Got my PR in Dec 2021
My question is about my status from the period Mar to Dec 2021, i.e. from when I got the Open Work Permit until I got my PR. It appears that none of the 4 categories in (1) above is applicable. My best guess in 'Visitor' but my Visitor Record has a validity till Aug 2021 only. Am I considered to continued as a 'Visitor' by way of holding a valid Open Work Permit?
