I got my work permit back in 2012 and was asked too many vague questions by the border official. Though some of the questions seemed valid like 'How did you find this job?' and 'Why did you apply for this job?' and some of them vague like "Do you know anyone in Canada?", "Why did you visit Vancouver 10 years back?" as I made an entry at Toronto.

I left the company that offered me the job after 2 years and now self-employed and a Canadian citizen. My sister (an Australian citizen) visited me 2 years back and stayed in Canada for almost 1.6 years on an open visitor record and left Canada in 2017. She abided by her visa conditions.

She has now got a job offer from the same company as mine and a positive LMO. Though she is from a visa-free country, I was wondering if she could face extra grilling at the border as she has got the job from the same company as mine? Though an Australian citizen, she has been working in India.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Even though she is from a visa free country, that does not give her carte blanche entry into the country. She is a foreign national requesting to enter and work here in Canada, the CBSA can ask her any question regarding her entry and the issuance of her work permit, and also the amount of time she stayed in Canada the last time she entered. You stated that you are self employed, so you actually own the company that your sister had the LMIA done for ?
