They want a detailed reason as to why I want to extend my stay. Of course, I want to be honest and tell them that I want to continue visiting with my 'extended family (AKA: Inlaws and husband)', but that isn't very detailed. Any advice?

And, I personally do not have any money. My Husband currently pays for everything, as I cannot work. Should I use his bank account information and send in a letter with him stating that he's willing to support me?

That should be fine! I did something similar for my husbands extension and everything worked out. We got three months of implied status, and we asked foo 6 months and they gave us a year! So overall it was really easy! We ended up not needing it, but it was super easy, it just took a while to get an answer, but you will have implied status until a decision is made.

Goodluck!

Yes, from what I read when you tell them that you're applying for PR they give a WHOLE YEAR instead of six months. It is such a relief!

I did the same thing. Told them we were preparing to file for PR and gave copies of my husbands paystubs. Got a year long extension :)

My fiance ( we will be married when I file) asked me that question. He pays for most things but I also have a CIBC account of my own and one with him. So could they take this into account? He also supports me while I am here. And he really wants me to stay here with him. Especially after we are married. I do have some money but me job is only seasonal now but I may not return so I can stay with him. But I am worried about my chances of being able to stay.

Judging from your avatar, you're American. You'll be fine as long as you a) don't reference the "visit" as "moving" to Canada - are always visiting; b) are admissible to Canada in general; c) maintain legal status properly.

I personally have maintained my status in Canada for almost 18 months as a visitor now without ever leaving. It's a 4 hour drive to the border, so I file online extensions instead of flagpoling. I prefer hiding behind my computer when I apply to stay longer, lol! :) I have a BMO account, but I never report it. I just give husband's paystubs and leave it at that. He makes more than enough for two people - according to CIC's chart. Too bad that chart doesn't include the massive amount one must spent to feed their overly spoiled cat..........

You have no idea how hard I'm laughing at this right now! We have two cats that are like our children. They eat a grain-free expensive dry food and are given a very, very healthy grain-free WET food once a day as well.

And don't even get my started on how we feed my lovebird.... hahahaha.
