What should I put for the program end date on IMM1294?

My letter of acceptance says "Length of program: 12 - 24 months", and the university website also says "The MEng Program takes three to six terms to complete (one to two years) as a full-time student".

Should I put 12 months and ask for an extension if I need it, or just put 24 months?

I applied for MEng U of Calgary, but my letter of acceptance didn't mention any time duration, neither did they mention any fees. However, I applied without this information.
On U of Calgary Website, per course fees, the number of Required courses and commitment period for course completion was mentioned as two years so that same information I mentioned on Visa form.

Hope it will be all ok as I have not received any information since I applied on 3rd July, Medical Upfront and Biometrics done o 8th July,

you should be okay if such information regarding your inputted information onyour application correspond with the schools or your department information as CIC will definitely verify from your school

Also, not receiving any information from CIC since your biometrics or medicals as many July applicants even June are still awaiting a decision, so you not alone
