My name is Amir. I am 20 years old and I'm from Iran. I came to Canada on January 2018 as an international student. I studied high school and currently I am studying a two year diploma program. I have this complicated situation and I tried contacting different lawyers but they all required booking a call or appointment which I can't afford. Hopefully you guys can help me through.
Here is my problem: (Thanks for your patience)
Since summer of 2018, US applied hardcore sanctions on Iranian government that caused a brutal depreciation of Iranian currency against Canadian dollar. This depreciation caused my father not to be able to pay my college tuition (I had the tuition for two semesters before this happened) even though I am working and paying for my own expenses. At this point I still have two semesters left to graduate while I can't pay for them cause I can't make $15000. On the other hand I DO NOT WANT and DO NOT DARE to go back to Iran for the following reason.
Serving in military is mandatory in Iran for 18 years old boys. When I came out of Iran I was over 18 and a month after I left Iran, my family received a letter from the military which warned me that I have to go back or I will receive punishment (in form of serving in military for a longer period of time). Six months ago my friend who was in Hungary for a year and had the same situation as me, got deported and desperately went back to Iran. Military charged him with 6 years of serving and he is currently serving in the border of Iran-Iraq Where as you may have heard the news is WAR ZONE right now.
I genuinely want to stay in Canada and finish my studies, get my PR, continue my studies and establish a new life here. I as well do not want to go back to dictator regime of Iran and serving in their military and probably die under any circumstances. One of my relatives suggested me to claim for refugee. But I know that my claim will be denied for 99% cause I do not have enough proof to provide that my life will be in danger. But I can guarantee that If I go back I won't be able to study, having a career or build a good life since I will have to serve for at least 6 years. What do you guys think that I should do?!?! Can I have an appointment with an immigration agent or court to explain my situation?!?!
