what sequence does cic use to process CEC applications: received date or AOR ?

Hi everyone,

I am a Nov 2012 applicant. My application arrived in NS on Nov. 5, 2012 (File # E00009XXXX) and got AOR on Dec 31, 2012. I was told that the waiting time starts when you get AOR. I got confused. Does CIC process CEC applications based on the "application received date" or the "AOR date"? It seems like the medical request got stuck for late May/early June applicants right now. I am wondering will Aug, Sept, Oct or even Nov applicants get their medical request in a sequence?

LOL, you mean you haven't been "waiting" since you mailed the application?

The relevant date (lock-in date) is the application received date. Your AOR date indicates when the application was transferred from CIO to the visa office for processing. Other than that, everyone's application processing time will be different.
