Hello everyone!

What other countries may we visit with a Canadian visa that would otherwise require a separate visa for that country?

For example: If I am from a country that normally requires a visa to enter Japan, may I enter Japan with a valid Canadian visa? (I've heard this is the case?)

Where can I find a list?

What do you mean by "visa"? Visitor visa? Something else? A Canadian visitor visa only allows you to enter Canada.

There is Taiwan, but it also depends on your passport, although I would guess you are from Vietnam, so this may apply:

Note that you still need to apply for the authorization certificate online. I've done this with a valid US B1/B2 visa, and there were no problems on my entry into Taiwan.

Just to clarify that these reciprical arrangements apply to PR holders or citzens of Canada only and not Canadian Tourist visa holders given the OP has not clearly stated if already PR.

In the case of Hong Kong, one can be holding a Canadian tourist visa and has a eticket or connecting boarding pass of another destination (not necessary Canada), can be allowed to visit HK for a certain number of days.

This is not the case every time, just like in Taiwan where a Canadian visitor visa is also recognized, as I had posted and experienced myself. I think it's hard to come up with a definitive list of exemptions because there are also some conditions based on one's passport.

OP, Taiwan is a great place to visit, BTW. I highly recommend it.

I don't think there's a complete list anywhere. I know you don't need a visa to visit Mexico if you have a Canadian visa.

With Canada PR, we can visit Mexico and West Indies countries. Other countries we can search in Google. Also you can transit via Europe airports. But USA, we need visit visa.

Thank you for all your help! I'll look into it a little more via google.
