Hi

My friend worked as an "industrial trainee & article assistant", full time for 3 years to fulfill the requirements of becoming a chartered accountant. She is now a CA and looking to enter Canada via express entry. What NOC will her job of "industrial trainee & article assistant" be considered in? I coudn't find it so could someone help me with it? And will she qualify under FSW?

Thanks!

As this job is part of accumulating to fully qualify for CA, I am pretty sure the duties performed in this role would related to External audit which would fall under NOC A - 1111

Title really doesnt matter as it differs from org to org. The duties are more important

Yes duties are almost the same, but the title is not CA and she was not actually a CA at the time. She completed the 3 years and passed the CA final exam just 15 days back

Thats fine.. But the duties are more important.

If s/he have performed financial audits, reconciliations and journals etc. Ensure to put these keys words in the duties letter and select NOC -1111 in Express Entry applciation.

The applicant should be good.

While selecting the NOC, the duties and responsibilities mentioned in the NOC should be a close match with the actual duties and responsibilities carried out by your friend at the respective job. You need not match the duties and responsibilities word by word, but the idea is to have the closest match in terms of the spirit of the duties and responsibilities (at least 60%-70% match). Also, NOC should be selected on the basis of the match of actual duties and responsibilities carried out rather than the designation match in the NOC list.

To check whether your friend would be eligible to apply under FSW check this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

The NOC includes CA, but is not exclusive to accountants who practice as CA.
