I think it's better to attach a SOP with my student permit application as it'll give me a medium to express my intent of visiting Canada only as a student. I chose a diploma straight after +2 and went for a college instead of university. So on what basis will my SOP satisfy the officer? I mean, what are the specific things which an officer expects to be present in the SOP. I've a rough idea and will include the following:
1. Why I chose the particular diploma;
2. Why I chose Canada;
3. why didn't I study in India;
Now these are the obvious ones. There are other questions which need to be answered In SOP I'm sure. It'd be good to hear from others who wrote a successful SOP (those who got the visa) also, is there any word limit for SOP? How do you start writing a SOP? I mean, is it like the applications we write in 11/12th class? Who is it addressed to?
Thanks in advance
