How long did you / have you lived together? When did you immigrate to Canada as a PR / how long have you lived apart? (Why didn't you all immigrate when you became a PR)? How much time have you spent together since you left your country of origin? Were they declared as spouse/family (presumably as unaccompanying) when you applied to/became a PR?
I don't mean to be invasive, it's up to you whether to answer; just trying to figure out what the issue might be.
My guess (and hence the line of some of the questions) - I'm wondering if they have doubts the relationship is still ongoing. Although there are a few on slightly different things, as it could be about something else.
