I would like to ask for any help you can provide.
My brother lives in Canada, and wants to sponsor my mother and me. I recently turned 22. I have been a student for the past 5 years (finishing Masters) and was living at home. I have many questions regarding the term "substantially dependent on a parent for financial support".
1. What is the meaning of dependent? Do I need to live with my mom? - if not, do I need to rent a place on her name? does she have to pay?
2. Can I be dependent on my brother instead?
3. Can I start my PhD in Canada as an international student?
