My wife is a Canadian citizen and we've been married for over 5 years in the U.S, have children, married in Canada... Is there a good chance I will have to go for an interview or not?

Also, if an interview is required do I go by myself or with my spouse?

You have a 50% chance just like everybody else..
In case of interview, if you are applying Inland you both would have to go to the interview, if you are applying outside of Canada only your presence will be needed. :) good luck!

I know for a fact that there is not a standard 50% of being interviewed or not. If I was an immigration offical I personally would be more suspicous of recently married people and other situations.

By the sounds of the information you have given, you are unlikely to be called for an interview.

But everything hinges on how the IO reviews your application. Being married for a long time with children is no more guarantee than someone whom has just got married and no children.

No one can answer your question, as long as there are no red flags, criminal issues and you have sent in the correct information and evidence, then you should be fine.

It's impossible to say if you are going to be called for an interview or not based in certain given information, that's why I said the chances are of 50%, he might get called for an interview as well as he might not.
Recently I heard the case of a couple married for 10 years + 3 kids, the process didnt go smoothly as they had thought.
You just never know what may be in the IOs minds.
However, as you are from US I am pretty sure you will be just fine.

Boasorte is right.
I have been married for 8 years been together with dh for 10 years we have 3 kids together and I was called for an interview!
It's all about the evidence if yilou can prove as much as possible through photos etc that you have had a pretty consistently strong relationship in the past 5 years and your marriage is genuine than you are safe and than again it depends on your situation and if you both meet the requirements of the law to be sponsored Read about it on cic website and go from there.
I am waiting for the next step and I can't wait to prove to the io about our marriage to each other
I am a living example
