I know that job description is more important than the job title, but I just want to know in general, where STAFF ACCOUNTANT would fall into.

It is not listed on neither NOC codes..

Please help..

Ah, well, I should caution you that your job duties and responsibilities matter more than the job title when CIC assesses your work experience. So be sure that your duties and responsibilities match those described for NOC 1111.

Unfortunately, there's an "unskilled" alternative - Accounting Assistant - that would not qualify.

Be honest with yourself, which NOC is a better fit. If you're unsure, you can ask your company's human resources dept., or send your job description to HRSDC to get their opinion.

my main duties are to "Examine financial accounts and records and prepare income tax returns from accounting records" as written on NOC 1111 duties.

Im mostly working with clients who need to file their personal tax returns mainly for US.

So I think I should be fine with CEC..

But I will make sure I check my job description with HRSDC definitely.
